Ten Seed Sentences

In high school, I was a big fish in a small pond; now in college, I am the same fish but in a much larger pond.

School used to come easy to me and I never had to work that hard, but then I came to college and realized I couldn't keep my same work habits.

When I saw that fork in the road about which college to attend, I chose to come here where I wouldn't have to take out a lot of loans, so it would be easier for me to pay back the loans I will have to take out for graduate school, rather than go to another school where I would have to take out a lot now.

Choosing which college to attend was a difficult decision for me, so I turned to my parent's advice since I had always trusted and valued their input my entire life.

Like most students, I always used to write long, run-on sentences, until my Economics teacher taught me how to line-edit and showed me that less is more in writing.

I used to not enjoy writing and would rather express myself through pictures instead of words, but I've come to realize that writing is a much faster and easier means of expression.

I had played club soccer at the highest level pretty much my entire life, but when the youth soccer system changed and I wasn't able to play at the top level anymore, I chose to stop club soccer altogether rather than play in a lesser league.

When I saw that fork in the road to study business or architecture, I chose to go to business school since I haven't decided on a single profession I would like to pursue yet and there are more things I could do in business.

When one of my close friends was in trouble, I did everything I could to help them because friends are one of the most important things to me and I knew they would have done the same for me.

I used to blindly obey and share all the beliefs my parents had, but as I grew older I became more independent and open to ideas from all over, which unfortunately has caused me to grow apart from them.
